About this guide
How Pause Point checks what it tells you
Pause Point is an independent guide to the safer-play options open to Springbok Casino players in South Africa. Every fact on it comes from a public page we can name and link, read on a date we show, and Springbok's statements are always marked as Springbok's own.
Who is behind this guide
Pause Point is an affiliate website. Springbok Casino does not own it, run it, edit it or sign off on what it says. We publish as Pause Point rather than under personal bylines, and we do not invent experts, reviewers or players to make a page look more convincing.
The site exists because the practical side of safer play is scattered. Springbok describes its tools on one page, the counselling service lives on another website, and the crisis line on a third. Here they sit together, in plain language, with the steps in order.
How a fact gets onto a page
Step 1: Read it at the source
We open the source's own page: Springbok's Responsible Gaming, Support and Player Complaints pages for its tools, the South African Responsible Gambling Foundation for the NRGP, and SADAG for the crisis line.
Step 2: Log it with a date
The wording, the web address and the day we read it go into a shared facts register. Pages pull figures such as the one month minimum or the helpline number from that register, so one correction updates every page.
Step 3: Label who is speaking
When Springbok describes its own service, we say so. When two sources disagree, we show both rather than quietly picking one.
Step 4: Show the date and the links
Each page carries a “Last checked” date near the top and a list of its sources at the bottom.
What we will not claim
- Scores, stars or rankings of any kind.
- Jackpot amounts, winner stories or player counts.
- First-person play, deposit or withdrawal stories, and testimonials.
- Promises that a limit or a break works perfectly, or that a tool replaces professional help.
- A diagnosis. The warning-signs self-check is a prompt to talk to someone, not an assessment; NRGP counsellors do the assessing.
Corrections and contact
If something here is out of date or unclear, email hello@casino-springbok.org and tell us which page and what you saw. We re-read the source, fix the page and change its date.
